Breathwork Healing
The initial act upon entering the world is taking our first breath from our mother's womb. In that prenatal stage, our oxygen supply is reliant on our mother. Observing a baby's breath reveals a seamless and tension-free inhalation, showcasing an uninterrupted rhythm of life force.
Breathwork healing involves conscious control and manipulation of breath to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It's believed to release tension, reduce stress, and enhance overall health by influencing the body's autonomic nervous system. Various techniques, such as deep breathing, rhythmic patterns, and breath awareness, are used in breathwork practices for therapeutic purposes.
Breathwork enables the release of subconscious thoughts, habits, and beliefs that hinder your highest self. It offers a path to uncover these without the extended duration of talk therapy. By surrendering control of the mind and body, the breath facilitates the emergence and release of these patterns for healing.
In a typical individual breathwork healing session, we engage in a 20-minute discussion about the shifts and healing needed in your life. Following that, you will lay back and relax while I apply the "Vayu observation," a yoga philosophy method, for around 10 minutes to observe your natural breath. Throughout the session, energy healing techniques, oils, smudging, and sound are utilized to dismantle negative patterns and open up your energy centers to a level suitable for you. These sessions can be transformative, elevating your healing experience to raise your vibration, fostering clarity, focus, and expansiveness.

How does breathwork help with trauma release?
Breathwork is often used as a tool for trauma release. Certain breathwork techniques, such as Holotropic Breathwork and Somatic Experiencing, aim to address and release stored trauma in the body. By engaging in conscious and controlled breathing, individuals may access and process unresolved emotions, contributing to healing from traumatic experiences. It's crucial, however, to approach trauma work with proper guidance from trained professionals to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
I offer both individual and group breathwork sessions throughout the Honolulu area on O’ahu.
